At the beginning of his career, Martin Zandvliet worked for years as a screenwriter and editor. In 2002 he wrote and directed his first film, the award-winning documentary “Angels of Brooklyn.”
Since then he has directed several features securing him numerous national and international nominations and awards. An accomplished storyteller, with a flair for communicating visual, intimate and stunning images.
Martin Zandvliet´s new feature and critical acclaimed “Land of Mine” is now the best-selling film in Denmark. The film covers an, until now, untold chapter of the Danish post-war period and takes it beginning in the days after the German capitulation, May 1945, where the ‘dirty work’ needs to be done.
